I'm thinking about getting a white backplate for $18 from sw-box but recently had my iPhone replaced so the screws are the new different kind. Does anyone know of a place that sells like a screw driver to take out the new star screws?

No, and I am not just saying that, I speak from experience It is a "specialty" screw driver and therefore is not available at these retail outlets. You must order online.
