Ok, so we all know that the iPhone 4 will have a front-facing camera to "face time" with other people. But, what I want to know is will you be able to take photos on the camera app with the front facing camera? I mean I'm so tired of attempting to take photos of myself and having to guess if I'm in the shot or not, take the shot, and then have to redo it because something went wrong

Thanks!

yes there is an icon that switches the camera

Yep! You will be able to.

There is a little "switch" icon in the camera app in the top right corner.

I will try to find a screenshot somewhere.

Thank you! Reason I asked is because I've been looking all overs Apples site for some proof, and couldn't find any lol

I would rather them implement a physical button so I can use the 5mp camera instead of the crappy vga one.

you will be able to with the native camera app. Plus I'm sure most of the other camera apps out there will take advantage of the front camera as well.

I'm sorry, not trying to be mean, but, seriously? This is on the apple.com iPhone features page.

People who take stupid self portraits of themselves with low resolution cameras sure do.

I am NOT making this up.

I ran in to a couple girls I know at the mall a while back. Not even girls- they're grown women. They were walking around the mall with a (rather nice) camera. They were literally there just to pose in front of all the stores and other mall crap so they would have new pictures for their MySpace pages. They told me "yeah we're just here to take some MySpace pictures." I thought they were yanking my leg, but sure enough I lurked their pages and the pictures were up.

Anyway- yeah that new front camera should inspire some cool ideas from developers. I'm looking forward to see what we can do with it aside from Facetime.

We need a better name than Facetime. Kind of makes my teeth hurt when I say it.
