iPhone 4 serial and IMEI changed by itself?

I am trying to sell my factory unlocked iPhone 4, upgraded to iOS 5. However the serial number and IMEI no longer matches the box.

I am the original owner and never tinker or jailbreak the phone.

Anyone know why this is happening and does anyone have the same issue?

I checked the serial and IMEI under general>about.

Well did you ever replace it with Apple?

Check the warranty status of both serial numbers on Apple's warranty check thing. See if either one of them comes up as invalid

What you are describing is not possible unless you had a warranty replacement from apple.

After waiting on the phone for a hour and half and spoke to Apple support, the serial on the box is not registered to anyone. Appears that the phone was put into the wrong box...

Can't believe this is happening, I bought the phone sealed from applestore
