Iphone 4 Set up as new Help.????

I just received my iphone 4 and had a 3g jailbroken backed up on my mac...I dont want any jailbreak files to transfer over or battery issuess ..so is there anyway to get my contacts back if set it up as a new phone..

Make sure you have your contacts are synced to something (like Address Book) and all the rest of the stuff under the Info tab in iTunes is synced with the appropriate software. If not, sync the jailbroke iPhone and then setup the iPhone 4 as new. Be advised, you will lost text messages, game saves and app settings.
