Im currently without internet, I jailbroke my iphone 4 and have been using mywi to let me setup a hotspot for my other devices. What I want to do is put my iphone 4 sim into my ipad 3 which has 4g capabilities and use the ipad (with mywi) as the hotspot. My question is this: is there any kind of tweak available that will allow my ipad to use my iphone's sim without being detected by my carrier. I have AT&T with a unlimited data plan.

Thanks!

Assuming your iPhone is an iPhone 4 your iPhone has a 3G SIM card the iPad 3 takes, requires a 4G SIM card. The two cards look and appear to be identical, they are not. I have an iPad and an iPad 3 and wanted to swap SIM cards between them, you can NOT do that. Sorry... :(

What about an iPhone 4S SIM card in an AT&T ipad 2 or 3? Would that work without detection from AT&T? Wouldn't it just look like the same IOS data to AT&T?
