iPhone 4 sim to iPad 3G?

I have been searching the internet around lately and since answers have been varying I would like to know if i can put my Iphone 4 sim into a 3G ipad. And the data on the iPad would just work. If it does not work out of the box is there a method to get it work such as maybe it be I change a setting or having to jailbreak and installing something.

I just did a search and there are dozens of threads like this. To answer your questions yes it will work because they both use a Micro SIM. You can swap it out if you wish or you can tether.
