I had several iPods and all previous iPhone generations and I never had this problem. While listening podcasts in the car (with both USB/Digital or just Aux/Analog) the audio skips frequently for less than a second and then resumes. During a 30 minutes commute I can count about 6 or 8 skips. I also noticed that if I press the home button and unlock I can cause the issue (audio skip). Also if I press the power button on or off.
This is annoying and unacceptable. My other phones and iPods don't have this issue. I wonder if this has anything to do with multitasking keeping the CPU busy and dropping the audio stream.
Have you seem this problem ?
Any recommendations ?
Thanks in advance :apple:

Fixed

I closed all background apps and have not had the skips anymore. Hope it gets fixed on next release. I start to think marketing pushed the product out the door before engineering had a chance to finish verification. I hope Apple doesn't trade quality for time-to-market :(
