iPhone 4 SLOW

Not sure why but my iPhone 4 is slow. Typing, scrolling etc. I mean it is worse than my 3G on iOS 4.0!!! The typing lag is nuts. I've rebooted and reset network settings.

Help!

Nope. Never has been.

I'd do it is an instant if it would fix this. Phone worked flawlessly since launch day. All of a sudden apps like Mail got wonky and had to be retarded. Not system is unstable.

I guess I will have to backup, erase and restore. But I dint want to spend hours and place the problem back on from my backup.

If that doesn't work, don't restore from backup. Setup as a new iphone. Sync your calendar events, contacts, etc... with your pc or mac first (or google, mobileme). You can't really backup your SMS messages without root access via a jailbreak I'm afraid.

If this still doesn't work, you can always restore from your backup again to get your settings back.
