By the camera side, I shake the iPhone 4, I can hear a small tiny click or rattle noise. Is this normal?

p.s I am using a vapor 4 bumper case.

If the rattle/click occurs with the Vapor 4 case on, then it could be a loose screw or the joint does not fit snugly.

If it's without the case on, then it most likely a fault with the phone, as previously mentioned, it is not normal.

Seriously do you guys actually own ip4's???

Op it's perfectly normal it's the autofocus on the camera you can hear!

Speaking of the camera, did Apple ever fix the green blob in the center of photos or the orange white balance issue under florescent lights?

Yes, I have an iPhone 4 and I hear the same faint rattling sound. On mine, it's coming from the volume buttons. How do I know this? Because if I put my thumb over the buttons and then shake the phone, the noise doesn't exist. The theory of the camera's autofocus making the noise seems odd ... and it doesn't seem that an intricate part of the phone/camera, such as the autofocus mechanism, should/would ever make any audible sounds.

100% normal.

4 iphones in my circle of friends.. every single one of them does it.

Hold the phone and tap the back near the top middle on the back and you will hear it.

Well I do own 2 and there is no audible noise from shaking or tapping the iPhones. So I am unconvinced that its perfectly normal.

Does the rattling come from the power button (Hold the button down slightly and see if it still rattles) or from another location such as the camera itself.

Both of the above have been reported by many iPhone 4 users. In fact my own iPhone 4 has a loose power button and rattles all the time! Here are a couple topics on this forum that may help you out:

If the problem continues and you are near an Apple Store there's no harm in getting an appointment to see if this problem is something that can be fixed. Whatever you decide to do I hope this post helped! :p

Normal.

Mine and 2 others I've intentionally checked have done this.

Seemed like power button to me, but maybe not. Nonissue IMO.
