Has anyone else noticed a considerable difference in sound quality from iPod to iPhone? I consider myself an audiophile and have gone to great measures to preserve the accuracy of music from iPod to source. It seems to me that the iPhone 4 as iPod sound quallity has deteriorated from it's earlier versions ... love the device, but disappointed in this aspect.

iPhone Sound Quality

I think my iPhone has pretty good sound quality actually. Why do you think your sound quality is so bad?

I think the sound quality has been pretty bad since the original iPhone.
I had the original iPhone and the 3G and the IPhone 4 and I have not been pleased with any of them. My "iPod Photo" sound quality is noticeably better whether I am listening to headphones or in the AUX jack in my car. So I use my nearly 6 year old iPod (in my car) even though my car supports BT streaming. I have also tried line out on the ip4 to make sure.
The iPhones have always sounded muddy to me. No matter what the EQ setting.
