earth, for now.
Previously I had a JB iPhone 4, running on firmware 4.1 - I tried to do some updates within Cydia, and while it was updating it froze, after nearly an hour updating 14MB worth of updates. I manually restarted the phone. After that, certain things weren't running properly... nothing major.

Within Cydia, the Manage Tab... all of the Packages and Sources were gone. Hence why I wanted to restore.

Once I put the phone into DFU mode, I was prompted with the Connect to iTunes display.

I tried to Restore through iTunes, and it downloaded the 4.3. Once it finished, it extracted the firmware but it failed to work, as I got a popup that said the Apple server couldnt be reached at the time.

I tried downloading 4.2.1 and doing the SHIFT + RESTORE button within iTunes, and it still wouldn't work.

I'm very confused at what I should be doing to fix this. Ive read many forum posts that mentioned adding some number# gs.apple.com - doing restarting itunes - that idea didnt work either. Ive also removed it back to normal and nothing.

At this point my iPhone4 is stuck in DFU mode and Im lost.

I would very much enjoy the suggestions and I honestly appreciate your help.

If you need to know more, just ask!

Thx folks!

EDIT: I found this article here

ALSO - I forgot to mention... I was able to get it to EXTRACT And install the Firmware (4.2.1)... and I would see a black screen with the apple logo, and a loading bar below... it would go just past the Apple Logo, and stop... and go no further. After 3 hours... still nothing progression and nothing was apparent on itunes either.

I also just finished trying firmware 4.1 for iPhone 4 - and the same thing occured. This time, I got a popup on iTunes with error 1004.
