iphone 4 & the alarm

Hi all

Both my wife & I have iphone 4's & both have the latest OS systems on them & for some unknown reason neither of the alarms work anymore??

Set the time & nothing happens at all, when you reach it. The alarm is turned on, as is the sound & I have checked & double check the time the alarm was set for

Completely bewildered, anyone got any ideas??

I've done a hard restart & a system restore on the phone as well
