Now that the unlock is available for Tmobile on the iPhone 4... has anyone actually tested 3g compatibility on the 1700 Mhz band? This test would support if Apple needed to produce a new iPhone for Tmobile... "if" they are actually getting the iPhone by the end of September.

Is it possible to use 3G for an unlocked iPhone on TMO? I thought that you could only use EDGE connection? Would factory unlocked phones be able to use TMO's 3G even if a JB/unlocked phone can't?

Who said Tmo was getting the iPhone in Sept? Apple is exclusive to AT$T till 2012. Seems some here keep forgetting that.

That's a pretty old rumor.

Newest is a CMDA Verizon iPhone in 1st quarter of 2011.

Is it gonna happen, who knows.

I really can't see T-mobile version as T-Mobile coverage is poor compared to Verizon.

AT&T users probably drop more calls in a day than i do in a year. I dont see a iphone going anywhere til 2012....rumor or not. Heard them all before the last two years.

Yes, many tried and the answer is still negative.
