I am helping a friend who is upgrading their iphone 4 to iphone 5s (both verizon iPhones). I use AT&T, so I'm not sure if the activation process is any different for verizon.

Is there anything different I need to do in order to transfer all of the phone's information (contacts, VMs, texts, etc) and activate the phone?

Thanks for the help!

have them do an itunes or icloud backup of their device. once they log in on their new device, they can restore. it has nothing to do with the carrier, backups and restoring iphones are the same across the board. once they take delivery of their new phone, it will be activated either on the spot in store or when they turn it on at home.

Had to call verizon and give imei and iccid to activate the phone.

Thanks for trying!
