Hey Y'alls

So I'm heading on a trip to Istanbul in September, and am planning to take my iPhone 4 with me. I am one of those Canadian's with the unlocked iPhone 4.

I know I can get a prepaid sim once I'm there, but I want to get out of taking my mac with me for the itunes sync.

Anyone have experience and/or could offer advice for what I could do? I want to ue my iPhone 4 on a prepaid sim in Turkey and NOT bring my mac with me.......

THanks!!!

alternatively, I just thought perhaps I could get another european prepaid sim and roam in turkey?

any help would be appreciated y'all :)

I don't think you need to sync with your Mac/iTunes again to make another sim card work.

With my unlocked 3G, I can just put it on airplane mode, put a new sim in and it is recognised right away. I've done this a dozen times at least switching to different providers and countries. I think you only need to sync/activate the first time.

Not certain that the iPhone 4 works this same way though.
