I have an old AT&T Iphone 4 that I would like to give to my daughter for her to use while she's travelling in Europe. Can it be unlocked and will she be able to buy sim cards that will work in different countries in Europe as she travels from place to place.

I do not know if it's CDMA or GSM. Can someone tell me how to determine this?

Thanks
Gerry

Send me your imei i'll inform you it's CDMA/GSM.

Seriously? Handing out your imei on a public forum is usually a bad idea. As stated, AT&T is gsm. A quick google search would have determined that for the OP. no need to send an imei to anyone.

With GSM, can I assume that it'll work ok in Europe once it's been unlocked?
