iPhone 4 unlocked?

Hi guys,
So yesterday I did a call to my operator (Three in UK) and they sayd they will unlock my iPhone in 48hours.
Just before 10mins I got message saying that they unlocked it and I need to do restore.

Is there any possibility to check my iPhone is unlocked after restore without different operator micro sim? I don't have chance to go to the shop and get a micro sim today.

No you need another operators sim inside it when you 1st hook it unto iTunes.

I believe then you get some form of message from apple saying your unlocked.

wish it was that quick for me I asked for unlock 2 days ago from orange they said can take up to 30 days.
