Anyone else notice this? Not sure why Apple would shorten the cable by an inch. Seems rather cheap. Maybe I missed something?

1 inch x 2 Million, thats a lot of cabling, matter of fact... *does some brain work* 2 Million inches, 63,000 some inches in a mile, soo like 32ish Miles of cabling. :D Gotta love those "needed" Calc classes in College.

Didn't know that as I'm still using the cable that came with my 3GS. Perhaps the shorter cable fits better in the smaller iP4 box?

Same here, I am actually using my 3G cable and wall charger, my 3GS and 4 box still have those to pieces in them. Lol I have so many dang Dock cables laying around, including the nice older ones with clips on them. Much prefer those.

That's what I figured. Cost savings. Very sad.

They seem to do this with every product. At first you get a lot, then they slowly make the packaging smaller and take accessories away. No cloth with the iPhone 4 makes me sad :(.

Most of my cables are too long for my use, both the old one and the new one. I didn't notice one was shorter.
