Hello,

I purchased an iPhone 4 at a very good price and wish to use it the same way one would use the iPod Touch. But I can't get to the home screen or do anything...all it says is something like "No Sim Card, insert Sim to activate"...something like that. And I have an option to slide a bar to make an emergency call. How do I get to the home screen where I can use safari, upload photos, use the camera, etc?

I believe you will need to activate the phone first before you can use it without a SIM. Once it is activated, you can remove the SIM and use as normally sans service or 3G.

Just a guess, but maybe you should try inserting a SIM card and see what happens. Again, just a guess. The phone needs to be initially activated to use as you're describing.
