So I have an old BenQ projector (VGA/DVI) lying around that I want to use for backyard movies throughout summer.
The trick is I want this setup to be so dead-simple that we actually do it regularly...
My plan is to simply play movies via my iPhone/iPad (Home Sharing) into the projector via a 30pin-VGA adapter, but need to clarify some things:
1) Does the Video App support video out to a projector?
2) Will ripped mp4 files (that already work on the iPhone) work with the video out?
3) What do I do for audio - will a basic headphone to RCA cable out of the iPhone work?
I'm not looking for home theatre quality stuff here... just movies with sound.
