Iphone 4 video - replaying on PC

I am having an issue with the .mov files on my PC - they seem to hiccup. Any advice? What program should I be using to pull the photos and videos over from my phone to my PC? At first it was set to Adobe Photoshop Elements/Organizer but it had a "fatal error" every time. I changed it to Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard and some videos will not download - maybe they are too large - but they ALL have this hiccup when playing in Quicktime, which yes, IS up to date.
 
I just found that it does worse if I email it to myself; these videos are in no way "high definition" for me. They are not smooth at all.
