Question for you guys. Just got my new no contract iphone 4 today from Ebay today.

The Apple receipt it came with says the original buyer bought it with no contract and no wireless service during the phone sale.

So my question is every time I turn off the phone and turn it back on I get this "waiting for activation message, This may take some time" message. Once I slide to unlock it goes away but when I reboot the phone it comes up again.

Am I getting this message because I haven't taken it to the store & bought an ATT service plan yet? I thought it should activate regardless? TIA!

Edit: Well I just popped out the ATT sim card it came with and that "waiting for activation" message doesn't come up any more. Weird.
