I don't usually do reviews unless they are worth sharing. I was looking for a sleeve/pouch that would give some protection as well as allow me to put a couple of cards in it. I used to use the Casemate ID for my 3GS when I went to the gym but it scratched the chrome bezel on my phone so I decided I wanted something different for my iPhone 4.

I was deciding between sfbags, hard craft, and other leather pouch/sleeves. SFbags was too thin and I didn't feel it would offer enough protection if I dropped the phone. hard craft was too expensive and so were the leather sleeves.

I found a link in one of the threads for this case.

I decided to order one and found out they now also have their own website. http://www.pack-smooch.com/

I love this sleeve. It is well designed and made. It's made out of 100% wool felt so I am confident it won't scratch my phone like the casemate ID case did to my 3GS. It is thick enough to offer protection but thin enough not to add too much bulk.

It allows me to easily add at least 2 cards (drivers licence and a credit card). It's ideal for me when I want to travel light without a wallet like going to the gym or out to dinner.

The fit is perfect. It is tight enough that the phone won't easily fall out, but easy to remove without too much effort. I have a skin on my phone and it hasn't caused any problems. I tried inserting it with a bumper but the fit is too perfect to allow the bumper to fit.

Overall, I'm very happy with the sleeve and the price was right. The only drawback was shipping. Shipping was from Germany and it took about 7 business days to arrive (not bad since it was the cheapest shipping, but i'm used to much quicker delivery).

Bottom line, if you are looking for an inexpensive sleeve that offers plenty of protection and has an excellent fit, the Pack & Smooch Wallet Case Soay is something worth looking at.

This actually is something I've been looking for. I'd order one now but I need one that works with the bumper, or casemate hula actually. Think it would fit? The casemate hula is slightly thinner then the bumper..

According to the website, it "Fits your Apple iPhone® (4/3G/3GS/2G)"
http://www.pack-smooch.com/en/shop/iphone-soay/14-soay-white

Since, the earlier generations of iPhone were a bit thicker than the i4, it stands to reason that the thinner i4 + case should fit, especially if said case is smaller than the Apple bumper. To me, with the bumper, the iPhone 4 still seems thinner and less wide than the 3G.

I don't know for sure since I don't own the casemate hula. But I tried really hard to see if it would fit with the bumper. I was able to really force it to fit. The rubber part of the bumper makes it difficult to slide in easily. If the casemate hula is thinner, there is a chance it will fit easier, but not without some effort.

Hard Graft iPhone Wallet

Looks really good. Nice review too.
I love hard graft's stuff, but it's so damn expensive (and I prefer their older cases compared to what they offer now).
I think this would be perfect for throwing into a bag or something like that. Currently I use an armband-type sock I got a few years ago. Good for when I go to the beach and don't want to worry about scratches.

Anything cheaper, I just need something simple like this for when I go out.

I've searched all around, this is one of the cheapest. Other cheaper one is the one by sfbags but it doesn't look as good and it's so thin that it doesn't offer any protection if I accidentally drop it.

Thanks. I agree, hard graft has nice stuff but the newer ones don't look as good and they are just overpriced, especially the shipping (almost $30 just for UPS shipping).

The iPhone case by Portel is significantly larger. The 2 openings at the sides allow you to have your headphone and dock cable connected to the phone while it's inside. The extra length at the sides prevent the plastic at the headphone plug from flexing.

By the way, Byrd & Belle's new iPhone wallet looks fabulous. link

Bryd & belle wallet looks good but won't work with a bumper sadly. Anyone know anymore wallets like this? Maybe the title of the thread should be changed to "iPhone 4 wallets!" Lol

Lol! I think the thread has been officially jacked. :)
