Hello guys,
Im going to fly to California in July and I'm planning to buy the new iPhone 4 but I have some questions :

I would be able to buy the iPhone 4 in Apple store without commitment like It was previous year with iPhone 3GS ? I heard some rumors that they don't sell to no American citizens and about a commitment to data/voice package.

also, What about Bestbuy? can I get also from them the iphone 4 without commitment.

Thanks in advance ! :apple:

I could be wrong but apple did not sell the iPhone 3Gs at a non commitment price initially. It took a couple of months.

Plus you will need to have an American charge card even if they do offer the no commitment price available for the iPhone 4. I've been in the apple store enough times to hear people trying this very act and they continually state you need a US based credit card.

maflynn,
previous year, also in July I bought iPhone 3GS without commitment at full price, but with my American friend. they didn't do problem expect that they require an american citizen that my friend is.

so I ask if it'll have the same policies or they have changed it?

No they did. I bought my iPhone 3GS on launch day.

Were you already an AT&T subscriber? They sure did make a big deal out of it when they announced in Mar 2010 that you could now buy the 3GS at the no-commitment price.

Yes I was. I think apple change their policy a few months ago where anybody can buy an iPhone.
