I've got a 2nd Gen airport express as my main wifi and a 1st Gen airport extreme (802.11a/b/g/n*) extending it. All the devices, macbook, ipods and mac mini, connect to which ever has the best signal except for a rogue iPhone 4, I've tried forgetting the network and re setting it up but for some reason the iPhone 4 refused to connect to the Airport extreme, even if it is one metre away and instead connects to the airport express which is at the other end of the house and so the signal is poor. An iPod and mac mini which are further from the Extreme than the iPhone 4 connect fine and get a good signal.
What is the reason that the iPhone 4 will not grab a wifi signal from the Extreme?
thanks.
EDIT: worked it out. I needed to check the box under wireless options in the Express base station that said "5GHz Network Name", this forced the Extreme to switch to 2.4GHz so the iPhone could connect to it.
