iphone 4 won't start up or power down

It won't power down when holding the top button.
It is stuck on the apple logo.
I tried entering DFU/recovery mode and using tiny umbrella to exit.
No luck
Firmware is 4.3.3 i believe.
Iphone is not jailbroken
I don't want to restore to 5.01.
Tried downloading 4.3.3 and restoring it but i get an error 3194.
Any suggestions?

Unless your buttons are broken, the device should always be able to do a force a reset of your phone by pressing both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds.
