iphone 4 won't start up...

Just about 2hrs ago my iphone 4 won't start up meaning that it turns on BUT stays on the apple logo forever...:mad: (it is not jail broken) Please let me know what to do?! Or should I wait it out one day and then turn it back on -_- How frustrating!
