iPhone 4G now or "4GS" later

Hi Everyone,

I know there are multiple threads about the issues with the iPhone 4G, but I was wondering, in general, do you think now is the time to actually go for the 4G or wait for the fixes in a possible 4GS?

If a 4GS comes out, would it be 6months or 1 year?

I haven't had much problems with my phone, but Apple is in the process of improving the Antennae systems on the iPhone 4 currently. It's in the works. You might wait until the next revision comes out to be 100% sure you're not going to have antennae problems if you are too worried about it. Maybe just get the White iPhone when they are released, they might not exhibit the same issues. But, you can already use a case or bumper with it and not have to worry about signal issues whatsoever. The Signal issues are most prominent if you are in an area with low reception. In large cities, not so big an issue.

I think even iP4 is acceptable. its the iPhone 4, not iPhone 4G or 4GS, why are people adding the extra letters?

and to answer your original question, june/july 2011 will more likely be the next release.
 
iPhone 4, iPhone 4G, iPhone 4GS, iPhone 5. iPhone 5 might support 4G data transfer. By that time, Blu Ray will be also supported by Macs but nobody will care. Too late...
 
Thanks for the replies, but why all of the hostility? I just was wondering whether you all think it's worthwhile to wait. Why replies with "get on with your life"? This is my first post here in a while.

I thought it was the 4G. Now I know it is the 4 and I am now moving on with my life with this knowledge. Thanks for enlightening me...
 
I clicked to read this just to grin at the 4G corrections I figured would be here. *chuckle* Yes, it irks me when people call it 4G too. :p I see it frequently in news articles as well.
 
The 5th iPhone won't be out until next June or July. And why choose? Buy the iPhone 4 now, unlock it, sell it and buy a new iPhone next summer as well.

Iphone 4V. haha.

I am happy with att, and battery life will be worse on verizon. No way that next years ATT iphone supports LTE, zero.
 
i think next will be the 4g which will only have a few changes (including 4g coverage) similar to how the 3gs changed from the 3g, it'll be like a 4.5 and that 5, or if they feel the need to call it 6, will be 2012
