I dropped my white iPhone 4S even though it was in a case on the floor. I shut it off and on and there was white scrolling text right above the Apple logo. What should I do?

The text was something related to the NAND storage.

Is this something worth taking the iPhone to an Apple Store for?

There are no physical cracks or water damage to my phone. I'm not sure if I should bring it in because a lot of the time, these problems start small and end up becoming full blown issues.
