Hi all,

My dad has just got himself an iPhone 4S, he is going away in a few weeks time abroad (outside the EU) and he wants to avoid any unnecessary charges whilst abroad.

He basically just wants to use calls, texts and Wifi, no 3G or any other data of any kind, so all he will get charged for is calls and texts and nothing else.

Could you tell me how to set-up his iPhone 4S to ensure that he doesnt get any additional charges whilst he is away...

BTW, he is on T-Mobile UK.

Thanks

James

Turn off cellular data at Settings > General > Network, and make sure Data Roaming is set to off.

Will that definately ensure that no other charges other than calls & texts will be charged? Also will that still alow wifi to be used?

Thanks

James
