iPhone 4S absinthe JB, no music no sync:/

After performing the jailbreak, my music app decided to not work or work sporadically. Neither restarting the iPhone nor toggling iTunes Match brought the phone back to life.

Now I'm trying to go in to delete the music and re-sync but my iPhone doesn't even appear in iTunes.
Any ideas?

Sorry my wording was ambiguous,
upon trying to connect my iPhone to my mac, I noticed that it doesn't even appear in iTunes and I'm unable to do anything to the iPhone.

Well the not being recognized in iTunes cleared itself up, after messing with the music settings I finally got the app to work again.
