iPhone 4S after IOS6 Upgrade

When I am in my car on blutooth having a conversation, I need to unlock the phone to hang up or the line just stays open.

In IOS5.1.1 the phone did not lock during the conversation. Is there a do not lock toggle? I am on exchange so I am required to have a lock pass code.
