I recently acquired a JVC KD-R730BT head unit for my car, which has been pretty nice to me so far - it has a USB port on the front that will charge the iPhone and play music, and the bluetooth connection works well for the phone itself.
However, I'm running into an issue with how the music plays to the unit, as the iPod will occasionally see the unit's Bluetooth connection for Audio mid-song, and switch the output from the Dock Connector to the Bluetooth, interrupting playback (since the head unit is still in Dock mode for playback). I can disable bluetooth audio playback on the head unit temporarily, but it re-pairs and reestablishes the audio link the next time I power on the car / unit.
I've contacted JVC, but their support was unhelpful. Is there a way to tell the iPhone 4S (running iOS 5.1) not to use Bluetooth for music playback, or alternatively, to use the dock connector for the phone? I'd be OK if Bluetooth was removed from the equation completely, and the dock handled audio both in and out for phone calls.
Thank you!
