I'm experiencing an interesting problem on my iPhone 4s - since the update to iOS6 battery life has decreased dramatically. Yesterday at 10pm I put my fully charged iPhone 4s into sleep mode and left it untouched over the night.

Next morning, still in flight mode, battery was down to 81% (usually I lose something like 3 - 4 % in sleep mode over night), standby time was 10 hours 21 minutes, usage time was also 10 hours 21 minutes.

Location services were on - system location services were all disabled, except for "Cell Network Search" and "Traffic".)

Has anyone encountered something like this or can offer some suggestions/solutions?

My battery usage has been very good, but I have experienced the same inconsistency with Usage Time. I unplugged my 4S at 9pm, reset all the usage stats, and put it on my bedside table untouched and locked until 7am the next morning. The phone showed 4+ hours of Usage Time during that period (charge was at 97%). There was only about 10KB of cellular data during the night, so I was happy with that.
Here are my stats before I had to charge it again, 35 hours later:

REAL SOLUTION!!!!

Dear All,

After going for a couple of weeks with CCCCCRRRAAAPPP Battery life on my IPhone 4 (like 3% an hour with all Apps shut down), after updating to IOS 6 (but I found posts of people having this same issue on IOS 5), and reading through Threads, Forums and Articles on this issue...

Nothing convinced me in a FINAL way!!!

What WORKED is something hidden but simple: go to Settings-->General-->About-->Diagnostic & usage-->Diagnostic & Usage Data. Here look for the latest report on "Low Battery", and if you go into this report, in the Springboard section, you'll find the name of the rogue APP that's sucking your battery life! Once you find this App, delete it and VOILA!

I don't claim to be the only one knowing this, but after going through forums and more forums, came across many "hard reset" and "restore" and "delete email accounts" advice.... Never found this kinda simple advice that would prevent me from loosing all apps, contacts and texts!

Hope this helps all people with this trouble of USAGE=Standby Time!

Where is this app you're talking about?

Is this only on the 4/4S because I can't find it anywhere.. My battery was at 4% an hour ago and I was trying to find out which app uses the most battery life. Couldn't find a thing.

I've had the issue several times where the usage/standby times were the same and my battery died really fast. Only solution that worked for me was to restore the phone
