Ok so basically my dad has an iPhone 4s that's had some problems. The wifi hardware does not work, among the phone running slow. I took it in to a store and there have been known issues with the wifi hardware, and the phone is under warranty, so a replacement would be free.

However, the frame is ever so slightly bent, because he barely knocked it with a tool at work, which bumps up the price to $200... I want to attempt to fix this on my own using clamps and something like wood to not scratch anything. I found a similar issue to an iphone 5 at http://youtu.be/SDwO6H8ORzw. I'll do something like this I think. I don't think I need to take the phone completely apart to do this, and I'd rather not since I don't have the tools, but do you guys have any suggestions or advice?

The way I see it is it's in warranty, the bent frame makes it not in warranty, so if I can fix it it'll be free to replace, and if I mess something up, really no harm done since I'll pay $200 regardless. Or we have the option of not doing anything since everything else still works fine lol. Thanks!

I'd just bring it in and ask for a replacement if I were you without messing with the frame... if they refuse, you can always have a try #2 and schedule a repair and ship it to Apple...

yeah thats the issue. We already asked for a replacement, which would be free if the frame was not damaged. I could care less about the frame. the bent frame makes it not free, but $200. I want to make the frame look relatively straight so we can go ahead and get a free replacement.

Ah, I see. Good luck...

To bend the frame back you have to disassemble the whole phone first. Then, to bend it back you have to bend it over the point it originally set.
My guess is your out of luck doing this because you need the tools to disassemble it and the chance to break something inside is not to be neglected.
