You mean that the installation is complete and the phone won't power on at all? That's disconcerting as I'm in the middle of the installation now.

I didn't offer any advice. I'm already running the installation so I'm hoping I don't have this problem. If anything I was asking him to clarify what he's experiencing. No idea what you thought I meant.

Its updated to iOS7 and then when your setting up the phone it says to activate your phone then after about 30secs says cannot activate.

Same Issue on a iPhone 4. Won't activate and won't connect to the iTunes store.

Says: Activating your iPhone
It may take a few minutes to activate your iPhone

then after 30 seconds to a minute:

Could not activate iPhone
Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple minutes.

If this problem persists, contact Apple Support at apple.com/support

About 30 minutes of trying and getting the same message.

Give it some time, numerous people having the same problem.

I don't get the macrumors agenda, they post "activation server down" on random days when it occurs but when a major release breaks apple activation server they don't even mention it. I literally restored because I did not see the error posted on the newspage, I thought gee apple sorted that out with their billions...guess I was wrong.

You just have to keep trying, there is nothing else you can do. Yes it can be very frustrating. Call and/or email Apple support about it the odds are slim that they will fix the present issue but maybe they'll be better prepared by the time the next big update/release comes around. This is an ongoing/reoccurring problem.

turn your phone off , connect to a proxy or vpn from your pc , connect your phone to pc , use iTunes to activate , it may work ;)
