iPhone 4s: can't download anything! Suggestions?

I can no longer download apps or music from the iTunes store onto my iPhone 4s. My iPad 3 downloads fine, as does my sons iPhone 4s. Has this ever happened to anyone? It's going on 3 days now.

For apps, the logo appears and it just says waiting. Sigh

Press the top sleep button and then the home button until the apple logo appears to see if this clears the issue or as a last resort restore via itunes

I did a hard reset. Still can't download any apps or music. Anyone else have this issue?
