iPhone 4S Car Charge

Today I tired plugging in my 4S in to my car charge and it won't charge at all. I'm using a usb cigarette charge and Apple's sync cable. Anyone else run into this issue?

I know my usb and sync cable work fine since I tested it out with my wifes iPhone4.

Thought: Since the 4S is using the A5 (same as the ipad) does that mean I would need a 2.1amp usb charger?

I bought the car charger from Verizon when I bought the phone and it works just fine.

As I stated, I'm not using an actual car charger like you.

I am not excited about the devices that you plug into your cigarette lighter and it provides you with a USB receptacle so you can plug in your iPhone cord.

I would spend a few extra bucks and buy a reputable car charger.

Well spend $20 and go buy one. Problem solved.
