Can anyone recommend a case or holder for my phone that will hold it while I run?

I used to have one for my iPod and it attached around my arm. Is this still the standard?

There are a number of iphone specific armbands out there. But it's tough to fit an iphone+case in one.

I am a big fan of SPIbelts, they're small, simple, work with any phone, and are cheaper than some armbands.

THIS ARM BAND will hold the iPhone and the iPhone in a few select smaller cases.

THIS ARM BAND will hold the iPhone in ANY case i've thrown at it (Lifeproof, Mophie +, OtterBox .. to name a few).

I have both but mainly use the bigger (second) one because I use the Mophie Juice Pack + .. a lot. Don't let the pictures fool you, it isn't *THAT* big .. I find it good sized. Even has internal pockets for a key or other smaller items.

I have a SPIBelt as well .. and it is nice, but if you take the phone out a lot while running (to see distance/time/pace or anything else) .. it can be annoying. Having said that, I do use my SPIBelt a good bit and sometimes even for the iPhone.

I've been happy with the Tuneband from Grantwood in the past. If you are larger, might want to ask for the extra big armband (they gave it to me for free).

Uses it's own case, so you would want to take it out of a bumper or anything.

+1 on the ArmPocket. Simply THE BEST!! I've tried many others.

I usually just hold my phone in my hand when I run. It's not ideal, but it just bothers the crap out of me to run with a big bulky armband. I love running with my iPod nano. Just clip it to my shorts or throw it in my pocket and forget about it. I wish they would put a gps in there so that the Nike+ feature would actually be accurate.
