i just bought a pair of beats solo hd and i plugged them into my iPhone 4s and they didn't seem to work. I didn't really try to mess with the settings cause i got home late. But does anyone know if they are compatible.

They are headphones.. How can they not work? You could plug 1984 headphones in and they would still work..

obviously you don't know what they can do...they are no just headphone it's also a headset and a remote to change track forward or back....

did you turn up the volume :D ?

So the actual headphones work at all or is it just the remote that doesn't?

Need to make it clear to get past the "lol try are headphones" comments to be fair

Yes they are compatible and I am using beats solo HD as well on my iphone 4S. It even works on my iphone 4. Try replugging the cables. If it still doesn't work. Contact their company. They have 3 year warranties.
