iPhone 4s + Death Grip = No Issue?

I went to go try the death grip and see whether or not the so called "issue" was still there. of course the results will be different for everyone based on their area so I can't confirm its a real "issue" but these are my results

Service: AT&T
Area: 4 bars
Death Grip: 2-3 Bars (2 at most)
3G Stayed active
