Hi Everyone,

So I have a iphone 4 that was purchased on launch day about a year and a half ago. I know att offers early upgrade prices on the 4s for about 450. However when i spoke to a att rep at one of the corporate stores, they told me i was eligible for the 200 price. The rep stated that primary users on family plans totaling a certain amount per month, are eligible for "upgrade benefits". He said that I would be allowed to upgrade to a new phone at subsidized pricing without the early upgrade fee of 250 dollars, after a 12 month period.

Does this mean if I were to upgrade to the 4s now, I would be able to upgrade to the iphone 5 at the 200 price after a 12 month period of being on a contract?

Yes, I'm in the same situation since I'm the primary line user. My wife waits until February along with my (3) other iPhone owners on my Family Plan. It's always good to check a few months before you are eligible b/c they will check on availability of all upgrades on your account...
