Hey

When you place a call with your headsets, could anyone hear the sound of practically everything around you whenever you make a phone call (or start the Phone app)? This isn't static or echoing that I've read a good number of posts about.

For example, I was able to hear all conversations and sound around me while I was on a call yesterday at a busy mall...

Has anyone else experienced this?

Some headsets are better than others with environmental noise. I've found the Apple earbuds with mic to be very poor in that regard. I've always had good luck with Bluetooth headsets from Jawbone, they do a great job at isolating external sound.

Not quite exactly my case actually... I'm using the Etymotic HF3 right now and being able to hear the environment through 'leaking(?)' isn't the issue. The mic actually picks up all the sound around me and transmits into the earbuds
