Yesterday we took our first road trip since getting the iPhone 4s. I had the phone plugged into the car charger and ran Navigon. The trip was about 125 miles in 50 degree temps. By the time we got to our destination the phone was extremely hot to the touch. The only other thing running on the phone at the time was Bluetooth - streaming music.

This only happened with Navigon and my 3Gs when running it on my Magellan powered dock. My 3Gs would get so hot the screen would shut off. I deliberately did not use the dock on this trip as I was afraid it would damage my 4s.

Yet, now I'm wondering if it's Navigon that's the issue?

Could this be too much? Is this something I should worry about? Anyone else experiencing an overly hot iPhone 4s?

it is normal because it is intensive on the system

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

It's completely normal. The only time you should worry is if you get the to hot shut down notification.
