iphone 4s / fido canada - dropped calls?

i've noticed my 4s drops a lot more calls than my 3g did. i've had fido in canada as my carrier for both phones.

i called fido about it tonight, after getting disconnected twice in a row while talking to family. first they said "you need to turn off 3g" which i'm quite certain is no longer possible as of ios5 (correct me if i'm wrong), and when i mentioned that, they said i would have to take it up with apple.

so is it worth going to an apple store over dropped calls? anyone had a similar issue and have any suggestions?
