Sure, the iPhone 4S sold well, but it's no iPhone 5
Hence why it's called the 4S, not the 5...

It's the best selling iPhone yet. Doesn't sound like a flop to me.

Straight from the Article

While it's no flop when it comes to sales figures, the iPhone 4S remains one of 2011's biggest consumer letdowns.

So yah, it may have been no iPhone 5, but it was far from a flop.

Sales suggest it isn't. While from a specifications standpoint it is disappointing, from a performance standpoint it is far, far beyond the A4 products. iOS was barely useable on the iPhone 4, IMO.

The guys at Yahoo are funny, because they don't realize nobody goes to Yahoo for much of anything anymore. I use either Apple's, Google's or even MSN (bing's) services more than I ever would go to Yahoo. That website is a messy smorgasbord of ads.

I don't think the 4s is a flop. There were high expectations for this latest release, and some, including this article, did not feel Apple met those expectations with the 4S, therefore, don't see it much of an upgrade from the 4.

I have the 4S and I'm happy with it overall.

Yahoo is just trolling for page views.
You can do that a couple ways:

* Write interesting, entertaining, or informative well-conceived, creative and thoughtful articles...
* Bash Apple products whether it makes even a shread of sense or not, deal a serious deathblow to any credibility you may have.

We know which rout Yahoo took. There's just no argument that makes the iPhone 4S a flop.
