Is the front facing camera on the 4S the same as on the iPhone 4? My brother got the 4S and he feels it's clearer than on his older 4

the main difference is, his newer one won't have a scratch over the lens

They both are vga, your 4s is just cleaner. If you were to buy a new iPhone 4 and compare the front camera to your s they would be the same.
