Is it possible to hookup the iPhone 4s to a PC monitor? I know the 4s has the mirroring but you have to have an apple tv. Is there a way to hook an iPhone 4s into a PC monitor directly or wireless without an apple tv?

Apple does it somehow during Keynote's…no idea how :p

It does. I use it with both with my iPad 2 and iPhone 4. It will work with the iPhone 4S as it works with the 4.

With the adapter do you get access to the whole OS or does it only stream video and play music? Do you get access to the home screen and all apps, etc? I guess what I am asking is does it mirror everything not just video and music?

The HDMI adapter does. I don't know about the other connections. Obviously it won't fill the screen as the iPhone is a different resolution and ratio but it will mirror it. It works with all the apps I've tried it with.

Does the HDMI adapter mirror what's on the screen when using an iPhone 4?
Or does it only show things like videos? If the latter, what kinds of videos are supported? The same as Airplay?
