iPhone 4S: How often will Apple Stores, at&t Stores get more inventory?

Working in NYC, there are tons of stores that carry the iPhone 4S but there are also much more people to buy these phones!

Today I went to an Apple store, of course out of stock and a local at&t corporate store only had a white 64gb available. I would take a black 16, or 32 at most.

I do not want to visit on a daily basis, but is there any "rule of thumb" when it comes to deliveries of these new phones? I would order online through Apple, but not if it will take 2-3 weeks.

U can reserve your phone now I believe.

At apple or at&t? I don't have an available upgrade, so its going to be a full price purchase.

Also, can I pay when it comes in? Or do they want to collect on the spot?
