iPhone 4s iMessage issue

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong area... Quick question just got the phone on Tuesday and the other day and today sometimes after I send a text in iMessage it exits out of the screen to home screen does this happen to anyone else? Is it minor or should I exchange it?

Just asking not sure if there are more problems to come I've been using a blackberry for years

Exchange it? Im not aware of that option.

Do a soft reset, then restore if the soft reset doesn't fix it. If that fails, DFU it.

They will replace it if you just buy a phone and have issues with it I would think ..... I did do a soft reset the other day and it happened today not often just 3 times so far in this week ...... What's dfu ?
